Hazardous Materials Response Team
The Village of Whiting Fire and Rescue Department serves as the local Hazardous Materials Response Team
for
Portage County. The HazMat Team provides operations level services, command & control, technical expertise,
safety, and scene size up. Together with our technician level partners from Waupaca County, the Team
is uniquely
prepared to respond to any type of Hazardous Materials situation. Membership on the Team is open
to any firefighter or
other qualified person in Portage County. Anyone interested in joining the
County HazMat Team should contact the
